Greetings Barbara:

It has come to the attention of the Advisory Council that many of Charter Communication’s customers are not aware of the low cost Basic Service Tier option in their offerings. I am writing to request your help in distributing the information in the attached documents to seniors and/or other fixed- or low-income residents in your Town.

One way for these citizens to save money and still stay up-to-date on news and current events is to switch from an expensive and comprehensive Cable TV subscription to a limited and low-cost Basic Service Tier option. The total cost of the Basic Service Tier, taxes included, is less than $40 a month.

The Basic Service Tier is not for everyone. For Cable TV viewers on a fixed- or low-income, or for viewers who only want the lowest cost cable TV service, the Basic Service Tier can be an economical and cost-effective option. More elaborate Cable TV options can cost five times that amount.

Additional detail is in the attached documents. We would appreciate your forwarding this information to any senior centers, religious institutions or consumer advocacy groups in your community.

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Gregory G. Davis, KB1YHW

Greetings Linda

I am writing to request your help is distributing the information in the attached documents to Seniors in your Town.

One way for Seniors to save money and still stay up-to-date on news and current events is to switch from an expensive and comprehensive Cable TV subscription to a limited and low-cost Basic Service Tier option.

However, the most economical option available – called Basic Service Tier -- can be hard to find: Charter Communications could do a better job of promoting the Basic Service Tier option on either its website or via its Customer Service Representatives.

The savings can be substantial. The total cost of Basic Service Tier, taxes included, is less than $40 a month. More elaborate Cable TV options can cost five times that amount.

The Basic Service Tier is not for everyone. But for Cable TV viewers on a fixed- or low-income, it can be economical and cost-effective option.

Additional detail is in the attached letter. We would appreciate your forwarding this information to any Seniors in your community who may need to reduce unnecessary expenses.

Thank you and Best Regards,

Gregory G. Davis
