Re: Cable Advisory Council Decision R19CWAC-14-03-11-M2-UVerse Interconnection with the Designated Community Access Providers
The Cable Advisory Council would like to bring to the attention of Frontier Communications that the AT&T U-Verse interconnection with the Designated Community Access Providers has not yet been accomplished.
The Cable Advisory Council confirms that AT&T has collected subscriber fees from ALL U-Verse Customers, as required by Public Act 07-253 effective in 2008. These fees have been delivered to the Designated Community Access Provider (CAP). However, AT&T has not interconnected the Programming feeds of the Designated CAP in PURA areas 10 & 19 to its U-Verse subscribers. Charter Communications is the designated CAP in PURA areas 10 & 19.
Ideally, the interconnect, being the responsibility of AT&T, should take place before AT&T hands off operations to Frontier Communications. The Council feels strongly that the failure to complete this interconnect is a disservice to all customers in the viewing area.
