Cable Advisory Council Letter of Recognition

The Charter Advisory Council would like to formally acknowledge the support provided to the Newtown Public Schools in the wake of the December 14, 2012 tragedy.

It has been brought to our attention that staff from the Charter Communications Newtown facility responded to the Newtown school districtís request to help find a way to connect the Monroe Chalk Hill School to the existing public schoolís WAN.

Charter staff including but not limited to Mike Lee and Jonathan Wanzer, worked over the weekend to review their fiber network and determine how they could make the connection happen.  Mark Holbrook also flew to Connecticut to assist in the design. Recognition is also made of the installer who worked to make the design a reality.

The entire project was designed and installed by December 17th.This effort was critical to the successful preparation of the Chalk Hill facility as an alternative school location for the Sandy Hook staff and students.

Once again the council would like to recognize and commend the efforts of all those involved from Charter Communications who assisted the Newtown Public Schools through the difficult days after December 14, 2012.

Respectfully Submitted,

Gregory G. Davis KB1YHW
